Hans Madsen blev døbt den 2. juli 1708 i Bjerre kirke. Forældre: Mads Jørgensen Pors og Mette Povlsdatter.
Han fæstede i 1733 et hus i Lindved, Rårup sogn, under Palsgård gods. Sønnen Jørgen Hansen Pors (ca. 1734-1781) fæstede i 1757 huset efter ham, så det er ret mange år, han var aftægtsmand, idet han først døde i 1774. Han blev begravet på Rårup kirkegård den 9. oktober 1774, som var 19. søndag efter trinitatis.
Hans enke, som vi ikke kender navnet på, døde i 1780 og blev begravet på Rårup kirkegård den 30. januar, 73 år gammel. Det er også uvist, om hun var mor til Jørgen Hansen Pors. En datter i Lindved nævnes i 1759.
Om Hans Madsen Pors' liv og færden vides ikke så meget, men der kan dog trækkes småting frem ved at læse andre kilder.
Han var f.eks. en af de talrige mænd i omegnen, der mødte op på Nøttrupgård i Nøttrup den 25. januar 1757, da herredsfogeden lod afholde offentlig auktion over en del af Peder Mortensens dødsbo. Peder Mortensen var død i oktober 1756, men efterlod sig noget gæld, som skulle indfries. Derfor skulle der afholdes auktion over en del møbler og løsøre, samt bæster og kvæg. . Hele skiftesagen kan læses i skifteprotokollen fra Palsgård gods 1745-1790 fol. 174 ff., og heraf fremgår det, at Hans Pors i Lindved købte en lille fyrre skammel, en gammel ½ otting (rummål) og en gammel trætragt.

In 1733 he was given copyhold to a house in Lindved in the neighbouring parish of Raarup. The house belonged to the manor of Palsgaard. In 1757 the copyhold was given to his son Jorgen Hansen Pors, who provided accomodation and support to his old parents for several years. Hans Madsen Pors died in 1774. He was buried in the churchyard of Raarup on October 9, 1774. It was Sunday 19th after Trinity.
